In a condolence message to his New Zealand counterpart Winston Peters, the Bangladesh government “promised to stand by the people and the government of New Zealand at this tragic hour”.

At least three Bangladeshis were among the deaths of the horrific shootings at two mosques in Christchurch of New Zealand.

Momen expressed his condolences and strongly condemned such gruesome attacks on the innocent civilian people at the places of worship.

He has also said Bangladesh has “zero tolerance” for terrorism and “firmly believes that such mindless acts of violence must be dealt with the strongest possible measures to prevent its recurrence”.
