Hasina inaugurates 31 projects during her visit to Kumudini Trust in Tangail

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has inaugurated 31 projects during the founding anniversary of Kumudini Welfare Trust of Bengal in Tangail.

She will give the Ranada Prasad Saha Memorial Gold Medal to the awardees and also visit the Kumudini Hospital and Bharateswari Homes. 

Hasina reached the Kumudini Complex in Mirzapur by helicopter after 11.00 am on Thursday, accompanied by her younger sister Sheikh Rehana. She formally inaugurated several projects and laid the foundation stones for others.

Kumudini Trust Director Pratibha Mutsuddi, education adviser in Kumudini Women’s Medical College Prof MA Jalil, principal of the college Abdul Halim, Bharateswari Homes Principal Md Anowarul Haque were present on the occasion. 

National poet Kazi Nazrul Islam and Hossain Shahid Suhrawardy have been honoured with Ranada Prasad Saha Memorial Gold Medal 2019 posthumously, as it will also be awarded to National Professor Rafiqul Islam and artist Shahabuddin Ahmed, said Pratibha Mutsuddi in a press briefing on Tuesday.
