The eight centres were also fined a total of Tk 20,000 during the drives at Jatrabari and Kadamtali on Monday, the RAB said in a media release.

Headed by Executive Magistrate Gausul Azam, a RAB-10 team raided the coaching centres.

These are Prevail, Samikaran, Challenger, Genuine, Best, Format, Commerce, and MR coaching centres.

The coaching centres were fined between Tk 500 and Tk 5,000.

RAB-10 deputy commander Major Ashraful Haque told bdnews24.com that they acted against the coaching centres for violating the government ban on operations during the ongoing SSC tests.

The RAB mobile court also recommended that Dhaka’s district education officer take action against two teachers of Jatrabari Ideal School and College for tutoring students at home.

On Sunday, another RAB mobile court sealed off and fined 10 coaching centres at Farmgate, Dhanmondi, Mohammadpur, and Jigatala.

Eight people were also jailed for different terms.

The government has ordered all coaching centres in the country closed during the SSC and equivalent exams in a bid to prevent question paper leak.

The High Court also recently declared legal the government guidelines to limit private tuition by teachers of schools and colleges.
