Two children die after drowning in water tank in Dhaka

Two children have died after falling into a water tank in Dhaka’s Mohammadpur.

The children of two different tenants of a four-storey house in Dhaka Udyan went missing on Tuesday from the ground floor.

The children have been identified as five-year-old Hadi, and Maria, who was three years younger. Police said the families of the children rushed to different places searching for them and made announcements by loudspeaker.

Mohammadpur Police Station Inspector Shariful Islam said the children were discovered dead inside a water tank in the evening.
