They are Religious Affairs Minister Matior Rahman, Expatriates Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Nurul Islam BSc, Science and Technology Minister Yeafesh Osman and Post, Telecommunication and IT Minister Mustafa Jabbar.

Cabinet Secretary Mohammad Shafiul Alam told bdnews24.com on Sunday night that the Cabinet Division issued orders relieving the quatret of their duties.

They tendered resignation on Nov 6 after ruling Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader told the media that Hasina wanted them to do so.

There were speculations over the formation of a smaller government for the election, but that did not happen.

On Nov 7, Hasina asked the four technocrats to continue.

Quader on Saturday said the technocrat ministers would not be in office.
