Three killed as truck overturns in Pabna
Three pedestrians have been killed after a lumber truck overturned in Pabna’s Noorpur area.

The accident occurred around 8am on Sunday in the Noorpur Bypass Road area, said Pabna Sadar Police Station Inspector (Operations) Jalal Uddin.
The lumber truck was headed from Jashore to Pabna town’s Singa area, he said. The driver lost control of the vehicle in the Noorpur area and the truck overturned onto three agricultural workers, who were killed on the spot.
The dead were identified as Shahin Alam, 50, Ahammed Ali, 40, and Rabiul Islam, 50.
All three were agricultural workers and were headed to their fields, said Inspector Jalal. Another labourer travelling with them was injured in the accident and has been admitted to Pabna General Hospital.
Traffic police have seized the truck, but the driver and his assistant fled after the accident.
