The prime minister said she hoped for the participation of all political parties in order to build a strong, democratic nation.

She made the remarks at an event to mark the 46th founding anniversary of Jubo League. The leaders and activists of the organisation came to meet the prime minister at the Ganabhaban on Sunday.

“A free, fair and impartial election is our goal. I hope that the other political parties will take part in the election. I think a party will never regain strength if it is scared to come to the polls. We wish for everyone’s participation,” Hasina said.

She said the next general election is crucial to continue the development of Bangladesh.
