Assistant Secretary of State for Consular Affairs of the US Carl Risch is coming to Dhaka to take part in a series of meetings with US diplomats and government officials.

The State Department has not mentioned specific dates of his visit to Bangladesh.
In a statement, it said he will travel from October 19-26 to Bangladesh and India to attend a series of meetings with US diplomats and foreign government authorities.
Risch will engage in bilateral discussions with Indian counterparts on issues relevant to international parental child abduction and US visas.
“The United States is committed to long-term engagement with Bangladesh and India on a variety of consular issues,” it said.
