Sagar and four others received first aid as their injuries were ‘minor’, according to a report published by the private broadcaster’s news website on Thursday.
Singer Ferdous Ara and Farzana Brownia, chief of Shornokishoree Network Foundation, were travelling with Sagar in the same helicopter.
The Impress Aviation helicopter crashed when it was flying back to Dhaka after a programme of Shornokishoree Network Foundation at a school in Godagari on Thursday. The Foundation promotes adolescent health.
“But the pilot lost its control and the helicopter crashed beside a nearby under-construction building.”
The police and firemen rescued the passengers and took them to the Upazila Nirbahi Officer’s office.
Sagar, Rafiqul Islam, Tufan Ali and Sumon Ali received first aid.
“The chopper crashed due to bad weather,” said Jahangir citing the pilot, Syed Saker Ali.
“We are investigating the reason behind the crash,” said Mahir Uddin, chief engineer of Impress Aviation.
