After unveiling the book at the Ganabhaban in Dhaka on Thursday, Bangabandhu’s daughter Sheikh Hasina, the prime minister of Bangladesh, said the book sheds light on the life of the Father of the Nation and politics in South Asia.

Recalling her father, Hasina said: "He used to say that the Spanish language is the sweetest language.”

Spanish is the second most used language in the social media, said Spanish Ambassador in Dhaka Alvaro de Salas Gimenez de Azcarate who attended the function.

With the publication of the book, about 437 million Spanish-speaking people will be able to learn about the glorious life and works of Bangabandhu, he said.

The book was first published in 2012 in Bangla, its original language.

The book is now available in 10 languages, including English, Hindi, Chinese, Japanese, French, Urdu and Arabic.

Besides, efforts to translate the book into the Russian language are ongoing.
