Cow bought for Eid slaughter kills man with horns in Dhaka

A man has died after a cow to be slaughtered in the Eid-ul-Azha hit him with the horns at Postogola in Dhaka.

The victim has been identified as Taher Ali, a beggar from Jatrabarhi.

Doctors at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital declared him dead on Monday afternoon, Sub-Inspector Bachchu Mia at the hospital’s police camp said.

A man was on his way home after buying the cattle when the rope tied to its neck tore off and it hit Taher with its horns, Bachchu said, quoting witnesses.

His daughter identified him later at the hospital, the policeman said.
