Bangladesh’s founding father Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was killed on Aug 15 in 1975.

Marking the Independence Day on Wednesday, a flag-hoisting ceremony was held at the Chancery Complex of the high commission.

After unfurling the tricolour, High Commissioner Harsh Vardhan Shringla read out the message from the president of India to the nation.

More than 600 Indian nationals and high commission officials were present on the occasion.
