At least three people, including a schoolgirl, died and four others were injured after a bus rammed a roadside shop after hitting a motorcycle in Rajshahi.
The crash took place in the district’s Nowdapara area around 12pm on Wednesday, said Zillur Rahman, chief of Shah Makhdum Police Station.
The dead have been identified as Ismail Hossain Pinku, 24, Sabuj Isalm, 32, and Anika, 13.

A Naogoan-bound bus from Rajshahi first hit the motorcycle and then ploughed into the shop as the driver lost control of the bus. “The crash left two dead on the spot and injured five others,” said Rahman.
The critically injured schoolgirl died after she was taken to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.

Soon after the incident, angry people blocked the road for almost an hour and vandalised some vehicles.
After receiving the report, police rushed to the scene and brought the situation under control.
