The Counter Terrorism Unit has arrested four suspected militants of the banned terror outfit Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh or JMB and seized bomb making materials in their possession in Dhaka.
They were arrested in an operation at Abdullahpur on Sunday night, said Md Masudur Rahman, deputy commissioner (media) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police.

“They are active members of the JMB. Two machetes, 96 detonators, 10 batteries and several bomb making materials were recovered from them,” said Rahman.
“An initial investigation suggests they had stored the materials for an attempt to create disorder. A case was filed against them with Uttara West Police Station.”
Police will file an appeal seeking ten-day remand for the detainees after producing them in court.
