Trade and investment facilitations, blue economy, Rohingyas, SME and women entrepreneurship, empowerment of women and youth, Commonwealth sports for development and peace, best practices sharing and Commonwealth cooperation figured in Thursday’s meeting, the foreign ministry said.
She also met the chairperson of the parliamentary standing committee on foreign affairs, among others.
Earlier in the morning, she went to see Bangabandhu Memorial Museum.
On Wednesday, Scotland attended a seminar at the Bangladesh Institute of International and Strategic Studies (BIISS) on ‘The Commonwealth Advantage: Progress and Potential’.
She also called on Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali where they covered Commonwealth issues and matters of bilateral interests.
They agreed to enhance cooperation and stressed the use of Commonwealth advantages.
The foreign minister also hosted a dinner in Scotland’s honour on Wednesday.
The secretary general is leaving Dhaka on Friday evening.
