Barishal secures highest pass rate, Dhaka forges ahead with GPA-5 achievers 

The Barishal Board has topped the list of eight educational boards with a 70.55 percent pass rate in the HSC and equivalent exams this year.

Some 62,173 students sat for the exams under the board and 43,861 passed.

The Dinajpur Board with a pass rate of 60.21 percent was at the bottom.

The pass rate is 66.51 percent in Rajshahi, 66.13 percent in Dhaka, 65.42 percent in Cumilla, 62.73 percent in Chattogram, 62.11 percent in Sylhet and 60.4 percent in Jashore.

The pass rate of eight boards is 64.55 percent this year, compared to 66.84 percent last year.

Outside the eight educational boards, the pass rate in the technical board was 75.5 percent. The madrasa board registered a pass rate of 78.67 percent.

DHAKA AHEAD in GPA-5

Dhaka clinched the highest number of GPA-5 students among eight education boards.

In Dhaka, 12,938 students secured full GPA.

Rajshahi came in second with 4,138 GPA-5 students.

Dinajpur ended up in the third position with 2,297 GPA-5 students.

It was followed by Jashore with 2,089, Chattogram with 1,613, Barishal with 670, Sylhet with 873 and Cumilla with 944.

The number of GPA-5 achievers under the madrasa board was 1,244 while the number was 2,456 under the technical board.
