Five die as bus plunges into roadside ditch in Khulna
At least five people died and 15 others were injured after a bus plunged into a roadside ditch on Khulna-Satkhira highway in Dumuria Upazila.

The accident took place around 12:30pm on Thursday near Barachia neighbourhood of the Upazila, said Md Habil Hossain, chief of Dumuria Police Station.
Two of the dead have been identified as Shariful Islam, 38, and Mostafa Gazi, 40. Both were the residents of Uttar Khawna area in Koyra Upazila.
All the dead were the day labourers travelling to Khulna on the rooftop of the bus, according to the police.
“The bus named Moumita was heading to Khulna from Paikgachha. The driver lost control and fell into a roadside ditch, killing five on the spot,” said Hossain.
Fire servicemen and police rescued the injured and took them to Dumuria Upazila Health Complex and Khulna Medical College Hospital.
