President Hamid congratulates women cricketers
President Abdul Hamid has congratulated Bangladesh women’s cricket team for their historic victory in the Women’s T20 Asia Cup by beating mighty India.

In a congratulatory message on Sunday, Hamid said: “This is an important victory for Bangladesh cricket. This will further boost the development of Bangladesh's cricket.”
He wished the women cricket team a continued success.
In a separate statement, Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury said, “Bangladesh has emerged as the emerging power of the world's female cricket. Through this victory, Bangladesh cricket team has made a unique example in women’s cricket.”
Deputy Speaker Md Fazle Rabbi Miah and Chief Whip ASM Feroz also congratulated the women's cricket team.
Bangladesh created history after beating India by three wickets in the final of the Women's Asia Cup T20I 2018 in Kuala Lumpur on Sunday.
