Disaster Management and Relief Secretary Md Shah Kamal revealed the information while speaking to the media during a drill for disaster preparedness at a refugee camp in Ukhia on Saturday.
He said 133,000 families have taken shelter in Cox’s Bazar and 32,000 of these families were in danger of natural disasters like flood, cyclone and landslide during the monsoon.
He said the government already relocated 5,000 of these families to safer places and took other necessary steps to tackle the disasters.
