Two women found dead at home in Chattogram’s Sitakunda

Two young women, who were friends, have been found dead at a house at Tripura Palli in Chattogram’s Sitakunda Upazila.

Police said it was unclear how Sukolpi Tripura and Chhobi Rani Tripura died.

Sitakunda Police Station Sub-Inspector Zainal Abedin said he went to the scene after the locals informed the police about the incident on Friday evening.

He said he found the bodies lying in a room of Chhobi’s home.

“Chhobi’s brother told us that they saw the bodies hanging by the neck from the ceiling,” the SI said.

He could not give more details and said senior police officers had started for the scene.
