He may have died from heatstroke, a local representative says
The incident took place at the MI cement factory in the west Mukterpur area of the Sadar Upazila around 7am on Monday, said Alamgir Hossain, officer-in-charge of Munshiganj Sadar Police Station.
The dead have been identified as 31-year-old Md Shahin and his brother 25-year-old Rashidul. They both hailed from Mandatola village in Chandpur’s Matlab Upazila.
Another worker, Hafizur Rahman, 22, was injured in the incident and has been admitted to Munshiganj Sadar Hospital.
OC Alamgir said that several boxes of cement and a block of frozen cement fell on the workers as they were cleaning the factory on Monday morning, killing two of them on the spot.
