The main gas supply line to Narsingdi was damaged during construction work on a drain, according to Titas Gas authorities
The accident occurred on the Dhaka-Rangpur Highway in Panthapara’s Bokchor area around 5:30am on Sunday, police said.
The identities of the dead have yet to be confirmed. The injured have been admitted to the Gobindaganj Upazila Medical Complex and Bogra’s Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital. Some of the injured are in critical condition.
The VS Paribahan bus was headed from Dhaka to Panchagarh when it collided with the truck, said Gobindaganj Highway Police OC Akhtaruzzaman.
Four people were killed on the spot, including both drivers.
Passengers on the bus have alleged that the driver had been drowsy.
