"We need to examine the possible options. A committee led by cabinet secretary will look into the matter. We will be able to adopt a reasonable solution through the process," he told journalists on Friday.
He spoke to the media during a visit to under-construction flyovers at Tulta in Rupganj in Narayanganj.
"The BNP is now frustrated because the plot by a certain political quarter to take advantage of the chaotic situation during quota reform protests has been foiled," the Awami League general secretary said.
"They could not mobilise a single political movement. So, they wanted to use the quota movement for their political gains. There was an attempt to give the movement a political twist," added Quader, who had a meeting the protest organisers.
He said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s decision to revoke the existing quota system was timely because “if you want to adopt a new system, the old one has to be rescinded".
The minister said the two flyovers being built at a cost of Tk 2.4 billion were crucial for Dhaka-Sylhet and Dhaka-Chattagram bypass. The flyovers are 13-kilometre and 1.084-km long, respectively.
Local MP Nazrul Islam Babu, local leaders and senior officials were present during the visit.
