The dead has been identified as 45-year-old Enamul Kazi, son of Shomsher Kazi and resident of Moubariya village under Khalishakundi union.
“Some miscreants attacked Enamul in a teashop close to his home at around 10:00pm with sharp weapons and left the spot,” said Pipulbariya Police Camp chief Monowar Hossain, quoting locals.
“We've come to know that the murder took place following a continued dispute over a mosque.”
