The former prime minister has been serving a five-year prison sentence since Feb 8 when a Dhaka court convicted her of misusing international donations meant for an orphanage.

The High Court granted her a four-month interim bail on Monday.

The latest order by the Appellate Division means the state and the anticorruption watchdog will be able to open regular appeals seeking permission to challenge the High Court’s bail order.
