President, PM express deep condolences for the victims of US-Bangla plane crash

President Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed their shock and deepest condolences to those who have been killed and injured in US-Bangla plane crash in Nepal.

At least 50 among the 71 passengers on board are killed in the accident that took place in Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, officials in Nepal said.

The president expressed his condolences to the bereaved families in a message after he returned home following a four-day visit to India on Monday.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed her sorrow and dismay at the loss of so many lives in the accident. She prayed for peace and salvation of the departed souls and quick recovery of the injured.

She expressed her heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families.

The airline authorities informed there were 32 people from Bangladesh, 33 from Nepal, 1 from China and 1 from the Maldives on board.
