There were 67 passengers and four crew members on the plane that crashed at Tribhuvan International Airport on Monday.

The passengers included 33 from Nepal, and one each from the Maldives and China.

Of the total people on board, 37 were male, 28 female and two children. bdnews24.com obtained a copy of the passengers' list.

The flight BS 211 left Dhaka at 12:52pm Bangladesh Standard Time and crashed at the Kathmandu airport at 2:20pm Nepal time after hitting the fence of the airport.

The cause of the accident was not immediately known, but the airline claimed that the pilot received 'wrong signals' from the control tower.

The US-Bangla was operating the 17-year-old aircraft as a passenger plane. Canadian maker Bombardier produced the Dash-8 Q400 aircraft.
