Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has ‘strongly’ condemned the attack on Prof Muhammed Zafar Iqbal in Sylhet.
She ordered officials to take quick action to identify the assailants and bring them to justice, the Prime Minister’s Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim told bdnews24.com on Saturday evening.

An unidentified young man stabbed him in the head during a programme at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology or SUST in Sylhet. One person has been detained over the attack.
