Three JMB ‘operatives’ arrested in Rajshahi

RAB says it has arrested three ‘operatives’ of banned Islamist outfit JMB in Rajshahi in possession of weapons, explosives, bomb-making materials and jihadist propaganda books.

The names of the detainees were not provided by RAB.

“Two pistols, ammunition magazines, eight rounds of bullets, four handbombs, jihadist literature and gunpowder were recovered from the Upazila’s Jamira Village,” RAB-5 Assistant Commander Maj Ashraful Islam said on Sunday.

Additional information would be available at a press conference at the RAB-5 offices on Sunday afternoon, RAB officials said.

RAB had also arrested three JMB ‘operatives’ from Rajshahi’s Tanore last Sunday.
