Mehjabin Alam became first while Nahida Islam and Sumaiya Kabir won second and third place respectively in the final round of the ‘9th National Speech Contest in Japanese Language’ on Saturday, the embassy said.
The top two - Mehjabin and Nahida - will represent Bangladesh in the South Asian Federation of Japanese Universities Alumni Association (SAFJUAA) Japanese Language Speech Contest later this year. The embassy, however, did not specify the place of that event.
Japanese companies and organisations, such as Bangladesh Honda Private Limited, Marubeni Corporation, Grameen UNIQLO as well as the Japan Commerce & Industry Association in Dhaka and Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) are the sponsors of the contest.
