Justice Zubayer Rahman Chowdhury and Justice Md Iqbal Kabir passed the order on Thursday, after the Human Rights and Peace for Bangladesh filed a writ petition.
Different quarters, including Bangladesh Poribesh Andolon, have opposed the plan to cut the trees to expand the road into four lanes.
