The Bangladesh Cricket Board or BCB has regretted the error and withdrawn the unsold tickets to correct the mistake.

“BNANGLADESH V SRI LANKA”, reads a highlighted part of the tickets for Friday’s tri-nation series match.

“These people should be punished. They are busy with their post and position instead of taking care of these things,” one Gias Uddin Shaheen wrote on Facebook.

Many are considering the incident as an effect of deteriorated quality of education due to question paper leaks and memorising texts without understanding those in the race for grade points.

“The action of question paper leak and GPA 5 starts,” Khaled Morhsed wrote.

Besides regretting the mistake, the BCB in a statement on Thursday said it has begun the process to take action against those responsible for the misspelling of the country’s name.

“Government bureaucrats are always spared for unforgivable sins after they express regret,” Nusrar Jahan wrote.
