Fog disrupts ferry services on Padma River
Dense fog has caused authorities to stop ferry services on the Padma River on Daulatdia-Paturia and Shimulia-Kathalbari routes.

As many as five vessels loaded with vehicles have been stranded in the river due to low visibility, said Assistant General Manager Khandaker Shah Newaz of Shimulia Ferry Terminal.
“We suspended ferry movements from 5am Friday as hardly anything was visible amid dense fog. The services will resume once the fog clears,” he added.
Ferry services on the Daulatdia-Paturia route were suspended around 7am. Four ferries are stranded in river on that route, said the terminal’s Assistant Manager Abu Abdullah.
