The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported citing an FBI statement that officials arrested the suspect, 21-year-old Joshua Routh, at a location on Mabros Industrial Parkway in Ellenwood on Friday.

Joshua is accused of killing Saiful Bhuyia, 36, and Rizanul Islam, 21, of Dunwoody. Both hail from Noakhali district.

On Sept 13, Saiful and Rizanul were shot in a car outside of Southern Grocery at the corner of Westview Drive and Lawton Street.

Saiful, the owner of the store, died the same day while Rizanul, an accountant of the store, succumbed to his bullet injury after four days.

They were returning home after closing the shop when they came under the attack.

Police were yet to reveal the motive behind the murders.

Saiful’s brother Bipul Bhuyia and other Bangladeshis in the area welcomed the arrest of the suspect and demanded punishment of the killer.

Adnan Sumon, a Bangladeshi expatriate in Atlanta, told bdnews24.com: “We believe the number of such murders will drop if the killers are awarded harsh penalty.”
