Press Secretary to PM Ihsanul Karim said the news conference will take place at Hasina’s official residence Ganabhaban at 4pm.

The last time the prime minister held a press conference was on Apr 10 this year to speak on her visit to India.

On Thursday, she will brief the media over her Cambodia visit when Bangladesh signed nine MoUs and a deal with the Southeast Asian country.

Hasina left for Phnom Penh on Sunday. Upon her arrival the same day, she paid her respects at Cambodia’s Independence Memorial and placed a wreath before the statue of the late King Norodom Sihanouk.

She also visited the Cambodian Genocide Museum.

The prime minister then attended a dinner at the Bangladesh Embassy and met with Bangladeshi expatriates.

On Monday, Hasina met with her Cambodian counterpart Hun Sen at the Peace Palace for the official talks. Nine memoranda of understanding and an agreement were signed by the two countries.

The two premiers then issued a joint statement calling for taking the relationships between the two countries to a new level.

Hasina paid a courtesy call on King Norodom Sihamoni during the visit. She also took part in a meeting organised by the Cambodia Chamber of Commerce.

Hasina was accompanied by her sister Sheikh Rehana, Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali, Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Rashed Khan Menon and State Minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak.
