The commission gave the go-ahead to the filing of six cases involving forgery at a meeting held on Wednesday, ACC Deputy Director Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya told bdnews24.com.

He said the ACC was prosecuting 15 other people on charges of helping Falu grab the around 10 acres of forestland.

The former aide to Khaleda had become a member of her Advisory Council. He had resigned when the party made him a vice chairman. Now, seemingly inactive in politics, private broadcaster NTV Chairman Falu is focused on his businesses.

The former MP was prosecuted earlier by the ACC for concealing wealth information.

ACC spokesperson Pranab said 9.64 acres of land at Palgaon in Mymensingh's Bhaluka was "grabbed through registering it using the name of Falu recently."

The ACC is going to prosecute then sub-registrar of Bhaluka, Md Fazlar Rahman, in all six cases, Pranab said. Fazlar is the sub-registrar of Keraniganj in Dhaka now.

The others to be named in the cases are deed writer Md Akram Hossain Jewel, and the land's 'fake owners' Md Ruhul Amin, Md Khoka Mia, Md Fazlul Haque alias Darbesh Ali, Md Hatem Ali, Zahura Khatun, Md Nurul Islam, Md Abdul Latif, Champa Akter, Sufia Khatun, Fatema Khatun, Jubeda Khatun, Majeda Begum, and Saf Khatun.

ACC Deputy Director Md Jahangir Alam in Mymensingh investigated the charges.

In the report, he wrote: "Mosaddek Ali Falu registered the land in his name on dishonest purpose and for personal benefit even after knowing that the land belongs to Forest Department, which is a punishable offence."

ACC officials said the Bhaluka Upazila land office stayed transfer and other work on the gazetted land until further notice on Oct 3 last year.

Moreover, Mymensingh divisional forest officer had been asked to cancel any registration of the land.

But Sub-Registrar Fazlar Rahman helped the transfer of the land's ownership to Falu through six deeds in connection with a ring of land agents violating the ACC notice and other laws, the ACC official said.
