Final results out for 36th BCS examination

The final results of 36th examinations to enter the Bangladesh Civil Service have been published on Tuesday.

Recommendations for various cadre positions have been made for 2,323 successful candidates, Public Service Commission Chairman Mohammad Sadiq told bdnews24.com.

He said 5,631 passed the written and oral stages of the exam, but of them 2,323 were selected for recommendations because of limited vacancy in posts.

The rest 3,308 will have to wait before they are given first or second grade non-cadre positions, he said.

These candidates will have to officially request the commission to be put in the waiting list, where they will be prioritised based on the exam marks.

The commission has written to every ministry, asking them to provide jobs to as many of these candidates as possible, added the BPSC chairman.

The results can be accessed by sending texts to 16222 from TeleTalk mobile phone connections. For that, 'PSC' space 36 space the candidate's registration number must be typed into an SMS.

Results of the written test for 37th BCS will be released after the coming week, said BPSC chairman.

A total 211,326 sat for the 36th BCS preliminary test, of them 13,830 were cleared for the written test.

Among those who cleared the phase, 5,990 were called for taking the oral test.
