The Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha started a drive against commercial entities running without permission at Banani road no. 11 on Tuesday and found the shops operating in three buildings not authorised for business operations.

It also fined the manager of the Banani outlet of Kids and Moms Tk 500,000.

RAJUK Zone-4 Authorised Officer Adiluzzaman told bdnews24.com that the owners would be able to use their buildings again only after getting permission to house commercial entities.

He said RAJUK would conduct similar drives in the area later.

RAJUK Inspector Saiful Islam said the drive started through the sealing off of the shops at house no. 46 of block C on the road.

Executive Magistrate Jasmine Akter filed the Kids and Moms outlet in the building during the drive.

Saiful said, "RAJUK has no reluctance to give the owners the permission to use their roadside buildings commercially, but they are not applying by submitting the fees."
