The five were brought from the Kutupalang Rohingya camp near the Teknaf border on Sunday night, said Amir Hossain, an officer of the Medical Police Outpost.

The patients have been identified as Yusuf Nabi, 28, Md Hassan, 25, Nur Hossain, 9, Md Mamun, 25, and 40-day-old Sohana.

Yusuf and Hassan were injured by the landmines, Hossain said. The infant Sohana is suffering from measles.

Nur Hossain is suffering from an illness and Mamun was injured in a road accident, the official said.

The group was sent to CMCH from the Médecins Sans Frontières Hospital at the Teknaf Rohingya refugee camp for advanced treatment.

A new wave of Rohingya refugees arrived in Bangladesh following attacks on police checkpoints and military camps in Rakhine state on Aug 25.

Many Rohingyas have been admitted to CMCH in the days since, mostly wounded by gunfire or explosions. Two of the patients have died.
