At least three people died after a bus fell into a ditch at Ramu in Cox's Bazar.
Eight people have been injured in the crash that took place at the old bypass area on the highway connecting Cox's Bazar to Chittagong around 8am Monday.
"The bus belongs to Asma Paribahan, which does not ply this route. We believe it’s a tourist bus. The police are on their way to the site of the accident," said Tulatuli Highway Police Station OC Md Mujahidul Islam.
The vehicle rammed into a road divider before tumbling down a roadside ditch at the bypass area, according to witnesses.
Three passengers died on spot. Locals pulled out eight injured passengers and got them admitted to various hospitals in Ramu and Chittagong.
