Representatives of the governments of Peru and Myanmar are also expected to take part in negotiations, he said.

Army-2017, an international military-technical forum, will be held from Aug 22 to Aug 27 at theme park Patriot, located near Moscow.

Russian Defence Ministry plans to start selling MIG-35 fighter jets in 2018, said Tarasenko.

"We plan to discuss deliveries of MiG-35 planes. We have a lot of negotiations on the agenda. These are our usual regions: CIS, Southeast Asian countries, Myanmar, Bangladesh and Peru," he said.

Tarasenko said the talks are already underway.

MiG-35 jets are fourth generation multi-role fighters designed on the basis of the MiG-29K/KUB and MiG-29M/M2 aircraft, said the TASS report.

Flight tests for the MiG-35 started on Jan 26.
