Two former MIST trainers die in US road crash

Two former trainers of the Bangladesh Military Institute of Science and Technology or MIST have died in a road traffic accident at Georgia in the United States.

Mohammad Imtiaz Ikram and Pracheta Dutta Tumpa, former lecturers of aeronautical engineering department at the MIST, were there for their PhD at University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

They died in the road crash at Wilkinson County around 8pm on Monday (local time), the Inter Services Public Relations Directorate or ISPR said in a media release on Wednesday.

MIST Commandant Major General Mohammad Abul Khair expressed condolence over the deaths of Ikram and Tumpa.

According to the release, the duo studied in the aeronautical engineering department and came out first in their batches.

Ikram was a student of the 2012-13 batch while Tumpa studied in the 2013-14 batch.
