Road collapses near Dhaka’s Green Road, gas pipe leakage exposed
A road collapsed in Dhaka’s Farmgate, exposing a rupture in the gas pipe.

According to the fire service, the collapsed part of the road in front of Green Road’s Jahanara Garden was visible around 6:30 am on Monday.
“The road collapse was due to pressure from sewage water,” Fire Service Control Room Officer-in-Charge Ataur Rahman told bdnews24.com. “Leakage from a gas pipe was also visible.”
“One of our units is at the spot. They say repairs are being conducted on the pipeline.”
No one has been injured in the incident, said the fire service official.
An emergency team from Titas Gas was dispatched to the spot as soon as they received news of the leak, said Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Limited Emergency Team Official Selim Miah.
