Razakar Baki arrested on war crimes charges in Satkhira

Police have arrested a person wanted on the charge of alleged crimes against humanity committed during the Liberation War in Satkhira.

M Abdulla Hil Baki, said to be 103 years old, was arrested from his house in Bularati village on Saturday night, Sadar Police Station OC Firoz Hossain Molla told bdnews24.com.

He said the war crimes suspect would be taken to Dhaka later in the night and produced before the International Crimes Tribunal on Sunday morning.

Molla said police kept an eye on Baki since the Tribunal issued a warrant for the arrest of Baki and two others on Mar 8.

Baki is accused of leading war crimes like multiple killings in Satkhira. He was the head of Razakar, a collaborating force of the Pakistan Army during the war, at Satkhira.
