RAB drops 74 percent names from list of 261 missing youths

Rapid Action Battalion has updated the list of 261 missing youths, released after such youths were found among the Gulshan and Sholakia attackers, dropping 74 percent names.

Media reports said many of the listed youths were found in their workplaces, houses or in jail.

RAB sent to the media on Monday the updated list of 68 youths, dropping 193 names.

The elite police unit said it found many of the missing persons had returned to their families after the list was made public on July 20.

“The latest RAB searches and investigations have found 68 missing persons (aging from 15 to 40) until now,” a statement said.

It said the list is constantly being updated and asked the families of the 68 missing persons to contact the security force if any of them returns.
