Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal faced reporters at the ministry’s meeting hall around 5pm on Tuesday, spokesperson Sharif Mahmud Apu told bdnews24.com.

State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam was also be present and spoke at the briefing, he said.

Bangladesh was still coming to terms with the savagery of gunmen who attacked on Gulshan’s Holey Artisan Bakery and O’ Kitchen on Friday.

Twenty diners, mostly foreigners, were slaughtered by Islamist radicals during an unprecedented overnight siege.

But there was still much confusion over how many terrorists were involved, their identity and the number of suspects in custody.
