Prime minister hosts Iftar party for dignitaries at Ganabhaban

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has hosted an Iftar party for judges, diplomats and high civil and military officials at her official residence Ganabhaban.

The prime minister addressed each of the guests personally, exchanging pleasantries with them on Wednesday evening.
 
A special prayer was offered before the Iftar, seeking continued peace, progress and prosperity of the nation and eternal peace of several departed souls, including that of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, those of the martyrs of August 15, 1975, and those of the martyrs of the 1971 Liberation War.

Senior Pesh Imam of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque Mufti Maulana Mizanur Rahman conducted the prayers.
Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha, Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali, State Minister for Public Administration Ismat Ara Sadique, Cabinet Secretary Mohammad Shafiul Alam, Chief of Army Staff General Abu Belal Muhammad Shafiul Haque, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Mohammad Nizamuddin Ahmed, Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Abu Esrar, PM's Principal Secretary Md Abul Kalam Azad, and Dean of the Diplomatic Corps Mahmoud Yahia Mohammed Ezzat Mostofa attended the Iftar, among others.
Judges of the Supreme Court and High Court, senior officials of various ministries, government organisations and departments as well as diplomats of different countries joined the Iftar.
