Bodies of two missing friends found floating on Brahmaputra river 

Police have found the bodies of two friends floating on Brahmaputra river in Mymensingh a day after they went missing.

Their bodies were recovered from under the Brahmaputra bridge on Tuesday afternoon, said Kotwali Model Police Station OC Kamrul Islam.

Both the men in their twenties used to work in the town’s Patgudam area. They have been identified as street vendor ‘Sajon’ and transport worker ‘Emon’.

Their family members told the police that the two were friends. They went missing after leaving home around 11am on Monday, said OC Kamrul.    

“The locals saw the bodies under the bridge and informed the police. They were recovered and later identified,” the OC said.
