Bodies of three Brahmanbarhia children recovered from river

Bodies of three siblings—all of them below 8 years of age—have been found in a river, a day after they went missing from Brahmanbarhia.

Police said they were informed by locals at a village in Nasirnagar Upazila on Wednesday after the bodies of two brothers and their sister were found floating in a river.

The bodies of 4-year-old ‘Sultana’ and her brothers  6-year-old ‘Raja’ and 7-year-old ‘Badshah’ were recovered at Wednesday noon, said Nasirnagar police OC Abdul Quader.

Quoting the family, the police officer said that the siblings were missing since Tuesday afternoon when they went to the river for a bath. “Their shoes were found on the banks on Tuesday.”
