Govt appoints five acting secretaries
The government has promoted five additional secretaries to acting secretaries.

The public administration ministry in an order on Wednesday said Local Government Division’s Additional Secretary Ashok Madhob Roy will be the shipping ministry’s stand-in secretary.
Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC) Chairman Ahmed Hossain Khan has been made an acting Member of the Planning Commission.
Bangladesh Betar Director General Kazi Akhtar Uddin Ahmed has been transferred to youth and sports ministry.
NGO Affairs Bureau’s Director General MD Nurun Nabi Talukder has been elevated as the acting secretary to Bangladesh Public Service Commission.
Space Research and Remote Sensing Organisation (SPARRSO)’s Chairman Shaheen Khan has been transferred to Privatisation Commission as its acting member.
The secretaries to the education and land ministries have gone into postretirement leave, but no one has been named as their replacement.
